Most people will agree that the quality of graduates that are available to join the professional cadre in organizations continues to decline due to the challenges with our educational sector.
In addition to challenges with our educational sector, the “traditional” education that we all received even when things were better failed to address the real needs of the workplace.
Organization do not need just “academic” capabilities- in fact, they need more of life and professional capabilities, which most young graduates do not have
The Bridge Project was designed to “bridge” this gap and help NYSC members manage the transition from being Corps Members to finding jobs, starting their own businesses and making a success out of their careers and vocations.
Rather than just whine and complain about how “bad” things are, Be Better Foundation and its implementation partners - Learning Impact NG and Learning Dimension Limited decided to implement the Bridge Project as a private-sector initiative to make a difference.
The pilot program began in August 2019 and ended in December 2019, with 20 NYSC members in Abuja. Each month, the cohorts were exposed to contents in different life skills which we believe are critical to young professionals seeking career and entrepreneurial opportunities.
